Community Concerts at Second (CC@2nd) brings world-class musicians to Baltimore to perform free concerts for the community. Hosted at Second Presbyterian Church, the venue is beautiful, intimate and acoustically-stellar for highlighting a myriad of concerts.
Having had the honor of working with CC@2nd for more than 5 seasons, FatCat approached them about changing up the format of their season mailer.While the previous mailer was lovely, it was oversized which made it both costly to print and costly to mail. By suggesting a standard 11 x 17, that folds and refolds to a standard trifold, CC@2nd saved over 30% in usual print/mail fees.
As in past years, FatCat was tasked with creating a custom illustration to highlight the cover of the mailer, and after many concepts were shown, this image of musicians performing on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor was chosen. Inside, the use of a color-blocking grid was utilized to not only delineate between the concerts, but to also show which ones were during the day (color) and which ones were at night (black).
Working with FatCat is a wonderful and refreshing experience.
